Vaillant boiler Repairs and common Problems
Low system water pressure fault code F.24
Combination and system boilers have a low water pressure sensor installed, this prevents the boiler being damaged if it ever ran ‘dry’.
Home owners can resolve this issue without an engineer by simply increasing the system pressure using a ‘filing loop’
Leaking diverter Valve
This fault will not show a code on the boiler display
Vaillant diverter valves leaking is an issue we come across regularly
If there is water leaking form your boiler there is a good chance it is from the diverter valve.
The boilers were originally fitted with plastic valves, which have since been replaced with brass alternatives, so if your boiler is leaking, you will need to book an engineer to access the issue and resolve it.
Intermittent hot water
Poor boiler installation means dirt is left inside the central heating system.
This will blocke the plate heat exchanger and cause the boiler to overheat.
It can be resolved by removing the plate heat exchanger and flushing it through with a strong chemical.
